Helen Flynn: the new PPC for Skipton & Ripon

At a Hustings held in Skipton on Sunday 29 November, Helen Flynn received overwhelming support from voters to become the new Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Skipton & Ripon, in the Yorkshire and Humber region.
The turn out for the event was exceptional, with the approved candidates deivering their speeches and then being followed by a long Question & Answers session.
Helen Fylnn is a Yorkshire woman, who was brought up in Wakefield, and who lives in the constituency, proving that she has strong local community knowledge and involvement
"I think it is important, given that people's faith in politicians has been crushed since the expenses' debacle, that candidates should be worthy of representing their constituency. For me, accountability to constituents and the ability to represent them in an authentic way are absolute number one priorities."
Helen now wants to get out and about throughout the constituency as much as possible between now and the General Election and would welcome the chance to meet any local people.
